Random Year Roosevelt Dimes 90% Silver Coins – $5 Face Value Bag
Add recognizable U.S. constitutional silver to your holdings with a $5 face value bag of Random Year Roosevelt Dimes. These genuine United States Mint coins contain 90% silver and offer physical silver in familiar dime denominations with decades of American history behind them.
Each bag contains 50 Roosevelt dimes with a combined face value of $5. Based on the standard circulated 90% silver calculation of approximately 0.715 troy ounces per $1 face value, the bag contains approximately 3.575 troy ounces of silver.
Dates, mint marks, and conditions will vary, giving each bag its own assortment of circulated U.S. silver coinage.
The Roosevelt Dime
The Roosevelt dime was introduced in 1946 following the death of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Designed by U.S. Mint Chief Engraver John R. Sinnock, the obverse features a portrait of Roosevelt, whose association with the March of Dimes helped make the denomination a fitting choice for the memorial design.
The reverse features a torch at the center, flanked by an olive branch and an oak branch. The design represents liberty, peace, and independence and remains closely associated with the Roosevelt dime today.
90% U.S. Constitutional Silver
Roosevelt dimes struck for circulation from 1946 through 1964 were produced with a composition of 90% silver and 10% copper. Beginning in 1965, circulating dimes transitioned to a copper-nickel clad composition, making the earlier silver issues a popular form of U.S. constitutional silver.
These are circulated coins, so individual dimes may display wear, toning, marks, softened details, or other characteristics associated with age and circulation. Specific dates, mint marks, and individual conditions are selected at random and cannot be guaranteed.
